SPORTS HALL ATHLETICS

Last night Blackburn Primary School took part in an athletics event at Winter hill Comprehensive School. They event was held in the sports hall up little common lane.
Mr. Walker took the children with help from members of staff, Mrs. Siddall and Mr. Tarr,  and parents.

There were a mixture of track and field events such as hurdles and individual 1 lap sprints. On the field there were javelin and speed bounce and many more.
These are the boys that participated in the events James Clark, Joel Booth, Harry Cupitt, William Smith, Dylan Platts, Thomas Hughes and Iwan Robinson. They took part in individual sprints and hurdles and field events .
Eventually, after a tense wait, the organiser announced that we were in first place, by a margin of 7 points, and we are now taking part in the Rotherham finals in March. Well done to all the team and good luck in the final.
